Platform Disclaimer
- Attendee Responsibility: Scientia Academia indexes global academic events to the best of our ability. However, the final responsibility to verify that an event is bona fide, legitimate, and properly organized rests entirely with you as a prospective attendee or presenter. Please vet organizers carefully before making travel arrangements or submitting registration fees.
- Logo Misuse Caution: Be cautious of external websites displaying the Scientia Academia logo to claim legitimacy. Scientia Academia does not maintain automatic media partnerships with event organizers, and explicit written permission is required to use our branding.
Ethical Standards for Event Organizers
To maintain academic integrity and protect the research community, all event organizers must confirm that their events are conducted in an ethical, professional, and non-predatory manner.
By listing an event on Scientia Academia, organizers guarantee the following:
- Academic Merits: The primary purpose of the event is to genuinely contribute to the academic, professional, or cultural record and to foster healthy networking within the field.
- Consent of Speakers: The names of keynote speakers, committee members, and advisory boards will only be listed if their explicit, documented consent has been obtained.
- Honest Marketing: Organizers will not disseminate false, exaggerated, or misleading information regarding indexation, timelines, or venue locations.
- Transparent Financials: The event must have a clear, publicly accessible refund policy. If the event is canceled or postponed, all owed monies must be refunded according to that policy.
- Active Communication: Organizers must provide a working contact email address and respond to participant inquiries in a timely manner.
- Peer Review Integrity: If the event involves the presentation and publication of academic papers, those papers must undergo a rigorous, professionally sound peer-review process.
- Brand Protection: Organizers will not use the Scientia Academia logo or any confusingly similar branding language without prior written authorization.
